The Thermal Arc Fabricator 252i Packs Serious Punch for Its Size

Back when WMR reviewed the Thermal Arc 252i welding machines little brother, the 211i, we were highly impressed by how much more power it had over the first offering of the Thermal Arc series: the 181i..

Thermal Arc has come a long way with the Fabricator series.. With the introduction of the 211i to the lineup, theyve given you a borderline industrial workhorse of a machine, while keeping the versatility and competitive pricing in place.

We think that anyone looking to outfit a small to medium size shop with an easy-to-operate welding machine, thats capable of doing some fairly heavy industrial jobs. Attard Engineering provides complete Metal fabrication in Adelaide. need look no further than the Thermal Arc Fabricator 252i.

Thermal Arcs acclaimed 3 in 1 system enables all of the Fabricator line to either Tig, Mig, OR stick weld. This is great for those of us that NEVER know what type of job is laying ahead. The 252i is no different, and has the ability to weld all three processes.

Thermal Arc s website says the technology is changing the game wed have to agree. Its a must-have feature now that the technology has developed to the point of being able to pack so much versatility into a relatively smaller, lighter chassis without skimping out in the power supply area.

The 252i does all this and more. All while coming at only 66 pounds on the scale, and still retains true portability in not only weight, but also size. The Thermal Arc 252i is just small enough and manageable enough to be easily handled by a single person. Moving from job site to job site is a breeze with this machine.. and when it got there, it had enough power to get er done!

All in all this is a very impressive piece of equipment from Thermal Arc and Victor Technologies, and WMR thinks that youd be hard pressed to find a better welder for your money.

The Fabricator 252is versatility ensures that youre just about always prepared for the job at hand. Throw in a spool gun and a foot controller and youll have a rig that could be the center piece of a really nice shop set up!

The portability of the machine shouldnt be under valued.. Thats one of the 252is greatest strengths. Being able to just toss it the back of your pick up track is a pretty nice thing to be able to do.. Comes in handy more than you might expect.

The machine is fully accessory ready, so you can add a spool gun, foot contoller, Pendent, or Tig torch. Of course, all of those options are sold separately, but can be had for a reasonable price just like the Fabricator series themselves.

It features an Analog converter with a Digital Control Platform. The digital interface of the controller is  intuitive to operate and very fast and responsive, so nice touch there by Thermal Arc. Its also optimized to work equally well with all of the processes the 252i offers.

It has an automatic voltage input selection that ranges from 208-230 VAC.. all while maintaining an operating range of 187-276 VAC which gives it lots of juice considering its light weight and smaller size.

The power of the Fabricator is plenty for most welding jobs and shops. If your looking to do some heavy industrial work involving hours of laying 1 inch thick steel plate, the 252i probably isnt the one for you..

But.. if you only needed to weld 1 inch plate occasionally, while doing various other medium to light industrial sized jobs.. The Thermal Arc Fabricator 252i very well may be the one.
